Mercy Tsotsoo Markwei is the Acting Head of Company Secretarial and Compliance Services at AB Lexmall & Associates. Her practice focuses on corporate governance, company secretarial services and regulatory compliance.

Mercy supports companies of varying sizes and governance structures, including companies with small boards and larger organisations with several directors and board committees. She coordinates board and committee meetings, annual general meetings and extraordinary general meetings, and assists clients with the preparation of meeting documentation, maintenance of statutory records and implementation of corporate decisions.

She also advises clients on their continuing statutory and regulatory obligations. Her experience enables her to guide companies through Ghana’s sometimes complex and overlapping regulatory framework and to help them establish practical systems for maintaining compliance. In carrying out this work, Mercy combines careful attention to detail with an appreciation of each client’s operational and governance needs.

Mercy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree, both from the University of Ghana. She also holds a Professional Law Course Certificate from the Ghana School of Law.

She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana and a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
